Hernando De soto was born in 1497. He lived in Jerez De Los Caballeros in Spain. He explored from 1514 to 1542. He wanted to find and explore America.Hernando was successful. He lead a fleet of 700 men and 10 ships. His partner was Francisco Pizarro. He discovered many indians but they were easy to escape because they refused to battle. A few fun facts about Hernando are that when he was 9, Cristopher Columbus was born. He also helped atack the Cuzco and the Inca empire. He explored Florida in 1539.
