Early Years

Ferdinand Magellan was an explorer. He was born in 1480. His family ties to the royal family. He came a page away from the Portugese Queen after his parents untimely deaths.

Exploration years

Ferdinand Magellan sailed for Aisa. He wanted to discover a passage way through the American Continents to Aisa. Magellan did not discover what he was set out to discover. He did not dicover what he was set out to because he was killed in a war with the island natives. The years he explored where 1519-1521.

• They ate saw dust, rats, leather, ox hides when they ran out of food.
• When they reached South America on eof the ships decided to turn back to Spain.
• Magellan gave the Pacific Ocean its name. He was the first to circumnavigate the globe.
• He did no tmake it through the whole discovery.
